Peter Horovitz

An attorney with Merchant Horovitz & Tilley, Peter advises clients on all aspects of business formation, capital structure, land acquisition, contract negotiation, development and entitlements on the federal, state and local level. He also advises clients regarding acquisitions of businesses as going concerns, and all manner of operational issues including lease, employment, regulatory compliance, and employee matters.

Peter began his career handling residential and commercial bankruptcies, foreclosures and loan restructurings on behalf of local and national lenders. He has a solid understanding as to what causes deals to fall apart in trying times and how best to structure transactions in the present to avoid the pitfalls of the future.

Peter is a graduate of Colorado College and the University of Hawaii-Manoa William S. Richardson School of Law.  He serves actively on various non-profit boards including the Haleakala Waldorf School (Past President) and the Pacific Cancer Foundation (Past President, Governance Chair).


Peter will be speaking on a panel on Day 1 on Succession Planning and How do you Prepare for Retirement.
