Kimberly Mikami Svetin is the third president of family-run Moloka`i Drugs, founded in 1935 by her late grandfather, Richard Sakata, who was Moloka`i’s first pharmacist.
She and her staff at Hawai`i’s oldest independent pharmacy have an “aloha” for their island community. This benefits their personal and professional lives. Svetin currently oversees a staff of 29 employees, most of whom work between the pharmacy and the family’s 48-flavor ice cream shop. She is responsible for all management, human resources, marketing, community relations, purchasing, finance, legal matters, provider relations and technology.
Kimberly will speak on Day 1 on the panel Engaging Your Front Line Increases Your Bottom Line.
