Alexandrina’s passion, both at Google and in her personal time, is in making two topics, sustainability and technology, more readily accessible to her communities by learning new techniques herself and then creating public free content on the subject . AVG (as she is commonly referred to) has worked at Google for over six years sharing best practices on how G Suite helps organizations at every phase of its growth along with culture tips and tricks. The first 4 years she worked with SMBs in the US and in Latin America, and then moved on for a year and a half work with organizations in the public sector such as State and Local or water utilities.

In her current role AVG is a G Suite Developer Advocate, focused on making app-building tools easier for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Alexandrina will be speaking on Day 1 on Free Tools to Empower Small and Midsize Businesses (SMBs)  and on Day 2 she will go deeper with How to Use Free Tools to Grow Your Community and Business in an interactive workshop.

Rachael is a self-taught and spirit inspired Maui artist, who loves to paint with Rembrandt oils. Born in Kealakekua, Hawaiʻi, Rachael took to art as soon as she was able to hold a crayon! Throughout her childhood on Molokai, Rachael developed an appreciation for her majestic surroundings. In high school on Maui, Rachael entered numerous art shows and won several awards including the 2nd Congressional Mayorʻs Award, where her artwork hung in Linda Lingleʻs office when she was Mauiʻs mayor. Rachael graduated with honors from University of Hawaiʻi in 2001 all while working at a small fine art gallery which became her career for over 15 years!

After managing the Randy Jay Braun Gallery for 16 years, and while also working part-time in the hospitality industry as a concierge from the Renaissance Wailea to The Four Seasons Maui Resort, Rachael opened her own art gallery in January of 2016.  It was a dream ever since she became a  full time stay at home mom with a home based business that kept growing little by little!  Here in the unobvious place of Kahului, Maui an oasis of aloha has opened to serve the people of Maui who find it very convenient.  The 1500 sf gallery boasts unique local hand made products most of which are exclusively made in a price range where there is obviously something for everyone, and friendly local service of an old mom and pop shop…where customers become family and time is spent sharing aloha.   Now Rachael Rayʻs work can be seen on every island in gift shops, restaurants, hotels, and private residences.  She is constantly developing and designing her line of functional art while creating multiple original commissions in between.
